Chúng ta cần : 1 cây bàn chải đánh răng, thuốc tẩy (Thuốc tẩy dành cho áo hoặc giày), baking soda và nước sạch.
Bước 1 : Tháo dây giày và để một bên
Bước 2 : Làm ướt đôi giày của bạn với nước, dùng cây bàn chải đánh răng nhúng thuốc tẩy rồi chà.
Bước 3 : Rửa sạch phần thuốc tẩy bằng nước, lặp lại bước 2 rồi rửa sạch lại một lần nữa.
Bước 4 : Trộn hỗn hợp nước + baking soda, dùng cây bàn chải đánh răng nhúng vào hỗn hợp rồi đánh lên giày.
Bước 5 : Hãy để yên hỗn hợp trên giày của bạn tầm 5 tới 10 phút.
Bước 6 : Rửa sạch đôi giày của bạn với nước. Hong khô chúng trong vòng 2 tới 3 ngày. Có thể nhét giấy để hút ẩm. Không dùng giấy báo vì sẽ bị dính mực. Nếu cảm thấy giấy đã ướt nhũng, thì hãy thay giấy mới.
Bước 7 : Bỏ dây giày vào một hủ nhỏ có hỗn hợp nước + baking soda. Để chúng nằm yên trong vòng 1 ngày. Có thể để lâu hơn nếu thấy cần thiết.
Bước 8 : Lấy dây giày ra và hong khô từ 2 tới 4 tiếng đồng hồ.
